Privacy policy

This notice covers customers, visitors and anyone who contacts ZEYA through zeya-brand.com or a regional storefront.

About your information

Zeya Jewelry Group Limited operates ZEYA at zeya-brand.com and its regional storefronts and is responsible for the personal information described here. This notice explains what information we collect, why we use it, who may receive it and how you can exercise your rights. Contact support@zeya-brand.com for privacy questions or requests.

Reading this notice, visiting the site or accepting the purchase terms does not itself give consent to optional tracking or marketing. Where consent is required, it must be obtained through the relevant choice rather than assumed from your use of the store.

Personal information and its sources

  • Information you provide: your name, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order details, account information, and support messages or attachments. We receive this when you order, use an account, contact us or choose to provide information through a store feature.
  • Order and payment information: purchased items, payment status, transaction confirmations, refunds and related records. Payment providers process the payment details needed to complete your purchase.
  • Technical and activity information: device and browser details, IP address, approximate location, page visits and interactions obtained through store technologies and, where permitted, cookies or pixels.
  • Information from service providers: order, delivery, payment or service updates from Shopify, payment processors, shipping and fulfilment partners and other providers where needed to operate the store.

Provide only the information needed for your purchase or request. Do not email passwords, verification codes or full payment-card details. If an attachment contains unrelated personal information, remove it where practical before sending.

Using your information

Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, the basis depends on the purpose and circumstances:

Information and purpose Relevant basis
Contact details, addresses and order/payment records used to process orders, deliver goods, handle returns and provide account services Performance of our contract with you or steps you request before a contract
Order and financial records needed for accounting and legally required records Compliance with legal obligations
Support messages, transaction and technical information used for customer support, security, fraud prevention and service improvement Legitimate interests in a safe, reliable store, subject to your rights; contract or legal duties where relevant
Contact information and activity data used for optional marketing or advertising technologies Consent where required; other permitted marketing subject to applicable law and your right to object or opt out

If information needed to complete an order is not provided, we may be unable to take payment, arrange delivery or resolve the request. Optional marketing choices are separate from purchasing. You can unsubscribe from promotional email through its unsubscribe link. Transactional messages about an order, service issue or privacy request may still be sent.

Tracking preferences

Necessary technologies support checkout, security and essential store functions. Optional technologies may support preferences, analytics and advertising. Where consent is required, optional technologies must follow your choice; consent is not bundled into purchase terms.

Visit Privacy choices to change optional tracking preferences or request a browser-level opt-out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Choices may be specific to your browser or device, so review them on each device you use. Browser settings can also restrict cookies, although blocking necessary technologies may affect checkout or other store features.

Contact support for account-level requests or if a control does not work. An advertising opt-out and an email unsubscribe manage different activities; use the relevant control or tell support which choice you want to make. Shopify provides further information about its technologies in its cookie policy.

Sharing information with providers

Our storefront runs on Shopify. We also use providers for payments, delivery and fulfilment, customer support, communications, reviews, tracking, analytics and advertising as needed for the features and services involved. Recipients receive information according to their role:

Recipient category Information and purpose
Hosting and store providers, including Shopify Store, account, order and technical information needed to host and operate the storefront and checkout
The payment provider used for your transaction Information needed to authorise payment, confirm the transaction, process refunds and address payment-related issues
Shipping, fulfilment and tracking providers Recipient contact details, delivery address and parcel/order information needed to fulfil and track the delivery
Support, communications and review-service providers Relevant contact details, order references and messages or submissions needed to support the service you use
Analytics and advertising providers, where enabled and permitted Internet/device activity, identifiers and approximate location used for measurement or advertising, subject to applicable choices and law

Help from automated support tools

Support providers may use automated tools to help classify messages and draft replies; you can request a human review. Contact us if you need information about the provider involved in a particular interaction. A payment provider or other independent service may also process information under its own privacy notice.

We may disclose information where you request it, with consent, to comply with law, protect legitimate rights or support a corporate transaction. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of people under 16.

Processing outside your country

Our company is based in Hong Kong. Service providers and fulfilment operations may process information in other countries, including China. The locations relevant to your information depend on the service and providers involved. Contact us for details of the destinations and safeguards applying to a particular order or service.

Where EU or UK rules require transfer safeguards, we use applicable lawful mechanisms, such as adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards. Other applicable data-protection requirements remain relevant. You can ask for information about the safeguards relevant to your data and how to obtain a copy.

Retention of records

Retention depends on why information is needed, applicable record-keeping requirements, unresolved disputes and security needs. The criteria below describe how the relevant period is determined:

  • Order and accounting records: retained for the record-keeping obligations applying to the transaction and any related legal claims.
  • Account information: retained while needed to maintain the account, with records kept longer where another lawful purpose requires it.
  • Support records: retained while needed to handle the request and related disputes or service records.
  • Marketing information: retained until you opt out or it is no longer needed; a limited record of an opt-out may be needed to respect your choice.
  • Technical and activity information: retained according to the security, operational, analytics or advertising purpose and the applicable technology settings and legal requirements.

You can ask us for the period or criteria applying to your information. A deletion request does not necessarily require deletion of a record that must be retained for a legal obligation or another permitted reason. We will explain the relevant position when responding to your request.

Security

We use appropriate security measures for the information we process, but no system is completely secure. Protect your account and use the store's payment process rather than sending payment details by email. Contact support if you suspect an account or order-related security problem.

Privacy rights and requests

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, a copy, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to processing, including objection to direct marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Certain US state laws provide rights to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising and to appeal a denied request. We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

  1. Email support and explain the right you want to exercise and the information or service concerned.
  2. Include enough information to locate the relevant record, such as the email used for an order. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless we request a proportionate verification method.
  3. We may need to verify identity or an authorised agent's authority before providing information or making a change. We will respond within the applicable legal deadline and explain any permitted extension, restriction or refusal.

Appeals and privacy complaints

Where an appeal right applies, reply to our decision to request an appeal. You may complain to your local data-protection authority. UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children and external services

The store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian can contact support if they believe a child has provided information and request deletion. Third-party websites have their own privacy practices; review their notices when using their services.

Updates to this notice

We update this notice when practices or legal obligations change. The last-updated date identifies the latest revision, and we take any additional notification steps required by law. Contact us if you need an explanation of a change or how it relates to information already provided.
